Hi Everyone,

I read somewhere "Every once in a while, a wish comes wrapped in absolute belief and conviction. When that happens, nothing can stop it from coming true.

And we had the privilege to witness it happening right here. Wish for a TT Tournament has developed long back but could not be materialized. Finally the way it happened now in such a short notice, is really really remarkable. Everyone has come out as a winner in this tournament. I am quite sure this tradition will be carried on in the years to come.

Anyway future ka baad mein dekha jeyega !!!!! Let’s talk about y'day - One more page of excitement, josh, fun was added on the last day of tournament.

The day started with the exciting match of womens doubles final between Gayathri/Jenny and Kalindi/Priyanka. Really Gayathri/Jenny strategized very well against Priyanka’s serve and their strategy paid them the title of womens doubles. Need to mention here, it was Jenny’s second medal of the tournament.

After womens doubles final, we had two semifinals. One in mens doubles and one in mixed doubles. In mens doubles Anupam/Sharath faced Ram/Kumar, but Ram’s brilliant form and Kumar’s luck finally helped them to snail into the final. In mixed doubles, Ram/Gayathri played against Vijay/Bhagya, but Bhagya’s good shots could not get them a place in finals L. Vijay/Bhagya better luck next time J.

In the Final of mixed doubles, Gayathri/ Ram faced Jenny/Kumar. The match ended in a nail biting 5 setter match and finally won by Gayathri/ Ram. Awesome team coordination between Ram and Gayathri.

Then came the Tournament ka baap , the much awaited showdown between Soumya and Anupam, the mens singles finalists. To add to the excitement and thrill this match was made 7 set. Brilliance of skill and sportsmanship spirit was displayed by both the finalists. It was an edge of the seat experience for the audience who cherished every moment of it which culminated to a 4-1 win giving us our mens singles Champion “Soumya”.

Tournament ended with the mens doubles final between Ram/Kumar vs Vijay / Abhishek. As expected this match was also full of thrill and excitement and continued till last set. Winners were Ram/Kumar J. Ram won his second gold medal.

Hard work of Ram, Shishir and Kunal, has really paid well across the tournament. But there was something missing in the whole tournament. Had the organizers arranged snacks/juices for the spectators, also for players as well, it would have added flavor to the tournament. (Hello!!!! Some organizer reading it). Although Juice bar vendor was happy that his revenue increased in these 3 days and requested that we should have tournaments daily at such a large scale. Some of the exciting moments were captured by Shishir, have a look in the attached pics.

Anyway, excitement can’t be ended here……Our Jungle battle will be continuing from next week and to make it more enjoyable and fun, we look forward more ideas, suggestions, feedback.
