TT Tournament in office

I got the chance to cover up the TT tournaments held in my office....got lots of praise.. Here is first email which I wrote......

Have you recently felt the temperature raise in Chennai? WHY?? HOW??? Arrey !!!!! the CBCi TT Tournament has geared up in SDB3 Cafeteria…….

Most of us saw a very exciting opening day of TT match yesterday and today seems to be a more exciting day… Just to give you some glimpse of the TT matches….

·The limelight is on our own Raj who is going to play his singles Quarter Finals against Kumar today

·Second Major and exciting thing will be to see if Soumya can capture the singles title. Yesterday Soumya won his match against one of the tournament favorites Ram after a grueling 40 minute encounter with the points table reading 23-25 (yes, it’s a 11 point match, but this set went with about 12 deuces!), 11-5 and 11-9. So what say, should Ram get a Wild card entry ???????

·We already have 2 of the semifinalists identified.

o First, Ronak reached the semifinal by upsetting Amer and Manish. Ronak has to play his semifinal against the winner of Soumya-Vijay Quarter final. It will be interesting to see if Ronak can create another upset and reach the final.

o Anupam sailed into the semifinal as expected and the battle between Raj and Kumar will decide his opponent. Hope the appraisals have no effect on these matches ;)



The excitement does not end here…….



·In Men’s doubles again Ram will be opposite to Soumya.. So Can Ram with his partner Kumar defeat Soumya/Manish pair or will Soumya repeat the history and will show that he is unbeatable? So for how long this match will continue..GOD knows!!!!

·In Mixed Doubles…no points for guessing the luck of the draw. It is Soumya Vs Ram again. Add that to the heat!!! Soumya has teamed up with Priyanka who is playing her first TT match while Ram has teamed up with the most experienced female TT player Gayathri, who was the runner-up in the Insurance TT tournament. I am quite sure it is going to be a nail biting match.

Don’t worry.. if you still feel Yeah Dil mange MORE MORE……..We are going to have Women Singles Final match Between Jenny and Bhagya….. Jenny has defeated our experienced player Gayathri in the semis. So will Jenny be able to continue her winning streak or Bhagya who is debuting her TT career will put the brakes on Jenny’s winning streak?????
