Book review: How to Act Like a CEO

Hi,
Just finshed "How to Act Like a CEO" book. While seraching
for a book in the library, I have found this book in the section of
"Must read". I thought, it will enhance my team and leadership skills.
Upto certain level, it was able to do but below my expectations.
The reson might be that it was too early to read this book
as it will take time to become CEO for me. .......

This book gave readers insight into the decision-making processes of those at the top of their fields. Author has interviewed hundreds of executives to find out exactly what they do differently than the also rans-- to provide an inside look at CEOs in action. How do they assess risks and opportunities in a new venture? How do they put together deals? How do they convince others to follow them? How do they manage a crisis?

This book talks about 10 rules in getting to the top:
1 - Be Yourself, Unless You're a Jerk
2 - See Around Corners
3 - Make Dust or Eat Dust
4 - Make the Big Play
5 - Keep Good Company
6 - Be the Number One Fund Raiser and Protecter
7 - Act Like a CEO When You Don't Feel Like It
8 - Evangelize the World
9 - Go Big or Go Home
10 - Cut Through the Junk

All these rules have been well explained in the book with the help of quotes of various top honchoes of the top organisation.

overall a light book.
